Privacy policy

Transcript Capture for Teams processes your transcript entirely inside the browser tab you select. Nothing is sent to us or any third party.

Information the extension accesses

After you select Capture transcript, the extension reads the open Microsoft Teams transcript: dialog text, speaker and display names, timestamps, transcription start/stop lifecycle markers, and technical row indices used to guarantee complete coverage.

How the information is used

The information is stored temporarily in the memory of the active browser tab, verified for row order and coverage, and used solely to construct the UTF-8 plain-text file you download. Temporary capture memory is completely discarded when you close or refresh the tab. The downloaded file stays locally on your device.

What is not collected or shared

The developer does not receive, collect, store, sell, monetize, or transmit transcript contents. The extension runs without a developer backend server, analytics SDK, advertisement network, external telemetry, or remotely hosted executable code. It does not access your browsing history or authentication credentials.

Permissions and your choices

  • activeTab provides temporary access strictly to the tab you select after clicking the extension icon.
  • scripting injects the packaged recorder into that tab to handle auto-scrolling and row verification.

You control when capture starts, whether auto-capture runs, and when the file is saved. Only capture transcripts for meetings you have proper permission to access.
